Answers to your frequently asked questions about payment and postage and model size...

How much does it cost to have the models posted to me?

We have a simple fixed rate postage system. Individual orders with a total value of $300 or over entitle you to postage free delivery within Australia. Orders under $300 depend upon the quantity and size of your order. We will advise you of the precise amount when we confirm availability. Delivery requires a signature. Insurance can be arranged on request.

How can I pay?
You can either send us your credit card details to process (we employ a secure system to protect your details) or opt to send us a cheque or money order. We will contact you once you place your order to confirm that the models that you want are available and the total amount to be paid. Please do not send cheques or money order until this has been done. With cheques or money orders, we will hold the goods for you until the funds have arrived (and been cleared in the case of cheques). Goods purchased via credit card will be dispatched immediately.

Can you guarantee all of the stock you advertise is available?

No. While we make every effort to display only the stock we have, we may only have one of a particular item, and there is the possibility that someone may have beat you to it. It is for this reason that we don't process your orders in real time, to give us time to get back to you to confirm availability. We use a 'first in, best dressed' policy to decide who buys our short supply models.

How can I make sure that I get hold of the new releases that I want?
You can place forward orders for models that we know are on the horizon.

How can I contact someone at Burnouts?

I find the scale size confusing.  Can you give me an idea of how big they are?
Think of the scales as fractions. For example, the 1:18 is 1/18th the size of the real thing. This means that the 1:64 is a much smaller version, as it is only 1/64th the size of the real thing. The bigger the scale, the more detail can be included, but this depends on the manufacturer, and is reflected in the price. In terms of cars, the 1:18 scale is around 25 cm long, and 1:64 is matchbox size. The larger the scale, the more detail can be shown.
